But it is so...I am sure this is just the beginning! But it is so good to hear how you have managed to navigate through all of this. For now, I am focussing on reinforcing confidence in being perfect just as they are. I can't even imagine what fashion and pop culture will have in store for us in 5-10 years!Kimberleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10722971196839221516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7406559144298245430.post-56933317712445338112012-10-18T12:52:03.152-07:002012-10-18T12:52:03.152-07:00Awesome post topic. We add a few things to the conversation when the body shape topic comes up (as it does from time to time) - fitness, strength and heredity.

The girls have different body types and we've been careful not to compare within the family either. We just really try to keep to the concept that healthy eating and an active lifestyle are the first priority. If those are in place, and you're healthy then your body shape will be what it will be.

I want to add though that clothes shopping can be a mine field when girls are middle school age and up in this regard. Styles go from cute little girl to street walker around the time they get to age 10 or 11. It's really hard not to notice how un-skinny you are when everything on the racks is for Twiggy. We're through the worst of that finally, both girls having found styles they're comfortable with and look good on them. But it was a big learning curve for all three of us. Sure made me long for the days when the big dilemma was Levi's or Lee's.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
