About FLF


Like so many of you, I am a busy parent, managing a household with two young children, and operating a food business in the beautiful Bulkley Valley. So naturally I should have a blog too! My days are full and it is really good for everyone around me that I am highly organized.

I launched this blog in 2012, and then was on a hiatus when my Dad passed away. I wasn't sure if I was going to continue this, but then I thought about the fact that my Dad is possibly my biggest food influence in my life. So I think that I will continue to share my stories and recipes and hopefully bring something to you. 

Even though I own a candy company, I care about healthy food. Sounds ironic right? It actually isn't. My candy company was started when I was on my second maternity leave. I knew I wanted a food business but I wanted to do something that really spoke to me. I grew up loving good food and I have memories of my Dad making fudge and caramel. I really wanted to make candy the old fashioned way, with simple ingredients and no artificial colors, so that my children could enjoy sweet treats. Kimberley's Kitchen was born. 

I love operating my business and blogging about my passion for food, well, mostly bacon! It has given me a wonderful way to share with you. Thank you for reading and please leave comments! I love comments!
